Two years of treemova®. Two years of Christmas magic, trees that first shine and then can be stylishly wrapped in our ingenious, sustainable transport blanket. Who would have thought that a small idea would become a huge Christmas revolution? 🎄✨

We're overjoyed to celebrate this milestone with you, our loyal Christmas tree lovers who have supported us since the first Advent. And because we know you love not only our products but also delicious holiday treats, we have a surprise for you: my mother's ultimate recipe for the world's best nut corners. Because what's better than Christmas magic? That's right, Christmas magic with a touch of sweet sin!

Recipe: Mom's heavenly nut corners

For approx. 30 pieces
For the baking tray some fat
aluminum foil

Kneading dough:

300g wheat flour
1 level teaspoon Dr. Oetker Baking Powder
130g sugar
2 packets of vanilla sugar
2 eggs (size M)
1 tbsp water
130g soft butter

Surface:

200g butter
200g sugar
2 packets of vanilla sugar
4 tbsp water
200g ground almonds
400g sliced ​​almonds
6 tbsp apricot jam

Molding:

100 g dark chocolate

Here's how:

Preheat oven: top/bottom heat approx. 175 degrees / fan oven approx. 160 degrees

  1. Prepare the dough base: Knead the flour, sugar, vanilla sugar, salt, eggs, and butter into a smooth dough. Roll out the dough onto a baking sheet lined with baking paper and spread it evenly. Then let it rest in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
  2. Create the nut layer: Melt the butter, sugar, and vanilla sugar in a saucepan and stir together. Add the ground and sliced ​​almonds and mix well.
  3. The finishing touches : Spread the pastry base with apricot jam and spread the nut mixture evenly over it. Bake in the preheated oven at 175°C (top/bottom heat) for about 30 minutes, until the nut wedges are golden brown.
  4. Cutting and chocolate coating: After cooling, cut into corners and dip the tips in melted dark chocolate. Done!
